Tomorrowland announces rare live performance from Cameroonian funk and disco legend, Eko Roosevelt

Tomorrowland has announced a rare live performance from Eko Roosevelt at next month’s festival in Belgium.

The Cameroonian funk and disco legend is set to play on Tomorrowland’s Melodia Stage on Friday 24th July, marking his first live appearance since 2022’s Nyege Nyege Festival in Uganda. He will also become the oldest performer in the festival’s history, according to organisers.

An influential figure in African funk and disco, Roosevelt released nine albums between 1976 and 1981, collaborating with the likes of Manu Dibango, Francis Bebey and a range of global artists, and later becoming director of the National Orchestra of Cameroon. His influence has endured across generations, with Disclosure remixing…
