Sadiq Khan has spoken out in support of the UK nightlife sector after a residents’ group in Soho voted to oppose new bar and restaurant licences.
As The Guardian reports, the Soho Society — which was set up in 1972 to “preserve the character of Soho” — voted for the new licensing mandate on 28th May, which will also challenge licence renewals and venue applications that extend past Westminster Council’s 11PM “core hours” policy.
