Boards of Canada fans have expressed outrage after a track from the group’s forthcoming album was used by The White House in a promotional video.
‘Deep Time’ features on the Scottish duo’s highly-anticipated fifth LP, ‘Inferno’, which is out tomorrow, 29th May.
Ahead of the official release, a 15-second clip from the tune has been used in a teaser-style film posted to X and Instagram by the US government, alongside highly militarised imagery.
Many online comments have been highly critical of the video. “DO NOT disrespect Boards of Canada by using their music in your propaganda,” one fan wrote, while another added: “DON’T YOU DARE GO USING @boardsofcanada MUSIC FOR YOUR FASCIST…
