Carl Cox has been awarded an OBE for services to music in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
The legendary British DJ and producer was named in the entertainment category of this year’s coveted honours list, revealed on Friday (12th June) ahead of the weekend’s Trooping the Colour celebrations. A total of 1,182 recipients were acknowledged nationwide.
Honours are awarded to individuals who have “contributed significantly to their communities, going above and beyond in delivering positive change to benefit others”, according to a Cabinet Office press release.
